蘭亭雅聚第二年與會員慶祝母親節, 今年勝舊年.

 High tea 的糕點, 是上課前一個半小時在Sunnybank Plaza內兩間餅店團團轉,  千挑萬選, 然後馬上拿到圖書館小廚房內加工,  切成精美形狀,  再小心翼翼堆砌在三層碟架上, 盡量似模似樣, 像荷李活大酒店做那般高檔. 

另一邊廂,  創意七彩水果串燒, 搖身一變就成花束形狀, 令人眼前一亮. 而籌劃, 構思, 材料, 早在兩三天前開始.

去年送給母親會員的是朱古力玫瑰花, 今年就想送鮮花, 但接近母親節, 打探花店玫瑰:  $10一支,  康乃馨$7.  正在惆悵中, 喜見青蘋果超市玫瑰一打大支夾抵買.  人忙完七彩水果盤,  就衝去圖書館旁超市買花.  氣羅氣喘買了回來, 還要在廚房把它們獨立包裝……..外邊傳來書法老師講座聲.

蘭亭雅聚會員是有口福的.  還有阿Wing詠嫦帶來鹵水牛展,  錢太泡制吞拿魚釀牛角包, Sam 沃泮奉上水晶糕, 维羣分享杏仁小鬆餅, 敏霞Sharon烤了蒜容包. 本來的小High tea變了大High tea.  一樂也!

這次「羣賢畢至, 少長咸集」, 暢敘友誼, 要多謝各新舊會員參加支持, 與及上述「加料」的同學, 還有創意無限,  「瞓身」幫忙的Yvonne, 一人負責繁複的水果盤, 買玫瑰兼包裝打扮.  

最後, 大家自發收拾食物, 杯盤, 桌椅.  聚會後, 會議室及小廚房回服整潔,  充份表現TOP積極齊心精神----「蘭亭有你,  難得有你」.

Last Wednesday was a real good time for 

everyone. There was just one and a half hour for 

us to buy the various cakes from the cake shop in 

Sunnybank Plaza, slice them to mini pieces and 

put them nicely on the 3 tiers.

Then Yvonne was busy shaping the fruit salad and 

then rushed to get the roses from Wooly and 

speedily packing them individually so that our 

ladies could take them home happily.

To our best surprise, Wing brought in spicy beef 

shin; Mrs Tsien was generous to present the 

mountain of Tuna in Croissant, Sam brought 

crystal dessert, Wee Kun brought almond 

minicake and Sharon brought garlic bread.

Thanks to everyone who had helped and offered to

help. We will need your help next time.

All of you have made TOP  Mother’s Day 

celebration a success.

朋友有小孩子學鋼琴的, 而小孩按年考琴試, 都知道琴試第九级是演奏級別, 考這級別的都是朝向演奏家的路走.

學書法的朋友, 也要有心理準備, 和考九級的小朋友一樣, 要在人前演奏. 換了書法語言, 就是即席揮毫.

奇怪是其他西方美術如油畫, 水彩畫, 雕塑, 甚至詩人, 作曲家, 也少有被要求在觀眾前創作表演. 但中國書畫家在活動中, 都很例牌地被要求即場表演.  所以書法在我看來, 較像一門表演藝術.

 

我們班上三位老師---余文賢, 何俠齋和江元, 上周三便突發雅兴, 在課中揮動大羊号, 互相切磋書法, 令人一睹老師們的點畫, 間架結構, 章法和用墨, 引導大家從理論走到實踐, 至實可貴.

Last Wednesday, Mr Yu, Mr He and Mr Jiangyuen

wrote in class to demonstrate the art of 

calligraphy. The trio display different styles in 

writing the same poem which gave us a glimpse 

of the diversity of art techniques to deal with the same subject.  It is a real experience of going from calligraphy theory to practice.

It is a very common practice that Chinese 

calligraphers are invited to demonstrate  in art activities. Enthusiasts in Chinese calligraphers  have to prepare for doing the art live in certain occasions in the future. Good luck!

終於參觀了何俠齋先生在Indooroopilly圖書館舉行的書法展. 雖然沒有寬敞的展覽場地, 沒有特設的燈光效果, 但仍可使人聯想上海書畫界在展覽方面的概念.

何先生是用斗方形式展示作品, 既全部寫在正方宣紙上, 而以裁成正方的人造物料托底, 脫離傳統所用的绫锦纸绢加中式木框. 可以說是要中國書畫配合時代的節奏, 不拘泥於古老的束縛.

除了裝裱外, 何先生也把另些非傳統元素放在作品裏, 例如把線條縱橫並列, 字置其中, 看來儼如中國棋盤玩意. 這些都是值得我們參考的現代書法的表現手法.

何先生的作品包括創作詩詞, 呈現書法家能自書作品的高雅境界.

與何先生同場展出, 另有陸天言先生. 陸先生是來自無錫書法家, 也曾到訪過我們書法班. 大家有空可前往參觀.

The calligraphy exhibition of Mr He Xiazhai is 

being held in Indooroopilly Library. The 

characteristic of Mr He’s exhibits is that they are 

all mount on synthetic materials that are 

commonly used in sun-blocking blinds. In fact, 

Yvonne had helped Mr He to create those 

innovative mountings. This is an out-of- tradition way to present calligraphy art. In a way, the presentation reflected the current exhibition trend of Chinese art exhibition in Shanghai.

Another trendy device is Mr He put vertical and 

horizontal lines among individual word 

characters, which resembles a Chinese chess board game. Besides, original poems are included.

In addition to Mr He’s work, there are the scrolls 

of Mr Lu Tian-yan, a Wuxi calligrapher who had 

visited TOP earlier.

If you have time, it is worth visiting the 

exhibition.

It is a rare chance to see a good show of 

Cantonese Opera in Brisbane.

The Multi Art Association of Queensland had put 

up a magnificent show in Our Lady of Lourdes 

Primary School last Sunday 17 April. 

The Chinese opera comprises a lot of traditional 

arts namely, poetry, old folklores, ancient beliefs, 

literature , history ,calligraphy, and more.  

If you have a chance, do go and feel the art of the 

Chinese Opera. It will definitely be an 

unforgetable experience.

有幸一睹粤劇红伶任冰兒風華

上週日, 有幸欣賞一場在布市難得一遇的粤劇戲曲, 由＜綜藝會＞主辦.

這次演出有曲目八項, 其中五項是「戲」, 即是盛裝加做手. 所以像我這個不太懂粤劇唱功藝術的阿丙, 也可欣賞靚衫靚人靚功架. 八個曲目中有三個是名編劇作家唐滌生的作品 : 「百花亭贈劍」, 「牡丹亭驚夢」及「庵遇, 相認」.  

唐滌生先生一生共寫了446個劇本 (維基資料).

「燈街拾翠憐香客, 博得御香新染狀元袍. 春宵衾底尚餘温, 轉眼分飛踏上陽關路……」

以上數句，＜紫釵記>之［陽關折柳］,  辭藻盡是清雋雅麗，反映了唐滌生先生國學水平之高, 值得學書者多看多讀多學.

書法藝術包涵詩詞歌賦, 傳统戲曲亦由上述藝術元素组成, 兩者實有互通之處. 有機會大家可多留意.

勤有功 與何老師感言 Practice Makes Perfect

自從2015年底, 有五, 六位同學在相差不遠的時間加入蘭亭雅聚, 一直學習至現在, 已經四個月了. 他們已表現驕人的成績.  可見下了功夫, 是有目共睹.

本周由何俠齋老師評點同學功課.

Mr He Xiazhai is deeply touched by the enthusiasm TOP members shown in his second visit to Brisbane. He is glad to see people from different backgrounds get together to practise calligraphy.

The result of calligraphy practice takes a long time to be recognised.It takes patience, lots of it.

Mr He said calligraphy is an art, and represents a culture.

The skils include how to do dots and strokes, the internal frame of individual word, the orchestration of the words in an art piece and the use of ink.

One needs to expose oneself to various art pieces by different masters and to know how to appreciate them.

我的感言         何侠斋

这是我第二次来到布里斯班，又和书法班的老师和同学们相聚了。在将近两个月的时间里，不管是来自中国大陆，还是台湾，香港，以及新加坡，马来西亚，乃至不以华语为母语的澳洲人，大家会聚在一起，共同研习书法，这种热情，这种干劲是十分感人的。

学习书法不是一天两天就能够见效的。因为书法不仅是一门技术，而且是一门艺术，更是一种文化。

学书法固然要解决技法问题，从点画 ，间架结构，到章法，用墨，都需要下功夫。

但仅仅学习技法是远远不够的。我在国内的书法教学中始终强调，要“技道并进，诗书双修”，要懂得书法理论，知其然还的要知其所以然，书法家不能只会抄录唐诗宋词，要会写自作诗文，“即以我手写我心”。只有这样，才能提高自己的人品和书品。

来书法班学习的都是成年人，应当发挥成年人的优势。孙过庭《书谱》有言，“学成规矩，老不如少。思通楷则，少不如老”。不能仅停留在这一笔高了还是低了，这个字大了还是小了，这种经验性的学习层面，要努力从书法审美和认知发展的规律上去认识和把握，才能提高学习的效率。

歲在丙申, 時值初秋,  書法好友乃相约高埠書館.  羣秀紛至, 先後置自書簡於欄柵. 頃間, 作品隨風飛翔於蓝天白雲, 如白鷺翔空. 眾人忙按書欣賞, 迎風互通心得, 交口讚譽.

及余師抵, 施施然坐于首席, 娓娓評指各人書作利弊. 一眾或點頭稱是, 或强記於心, 以為日後修善, 不知日之西下.

Last Wednesday was an enjoyable afternoon when we sat in the open air to listen to Mr Yu go through our homework. With Mr Yu’s comments, we comprehended our mistakes and the merits of others . Gradually we came to understand the elements a good piece of writing consists of. It’s a pleasant time to integrate calligraphy with nature and to appreciate it in the most relaxed manner.
