9月23日有雙重意義: 首次嘗試在Coopers Plains圖書館新地方上課; 兼舉行秋節聯歡會.
當日, 大家12:30到達圖書館, 都給它紅灰色新穎的外型吸引, 入口處有寬敞陽台供人或閱讀, 或上網, 或坐享鳥語花香. 轉入會議室, 開陽的落地玻璃看通窗外茂林藍天, 身處室內猶如置身大自然.
大家把佳饌一一拿出來, 轉瞬間把長枱放滿. 錢希真兄饑不及待「開動」筷子, 大家也不甘後人了.
飽餐一頓, 閒聊後, 大家玩破冰的Bingo遊戲, 好使新舊同學互相認識寶號.
第二個活動配對遊戲. 要把書法家, 所屬時(朝) 代及他們的著名書帖找出. 大家兵分三路, 各組組員都很認真找尋答案, 還上網Google一番, 絕非估吓估吓咁簡單. 其認真態度真是「魅力沒法擋」!

Freida及Nathan與大家分享選帖心得, 精要如下:

主要是說九個字：依性情，擇善本，守一帖。
依性情：根據個人的喜好，選擇歐，顔，柳或趙。集中説楷書而已。
擇善本：原拓本難求，現在大部分都是影印本。但也要挑好的出版社。還有是跟原拓本一樣最好。
守一帖：不能朝三暮四，寫數月就轉另外一種字體，非要放三五年，不罷休。最理想是入帖後，然後出帖。
當天介紹的日本出版社是二玄社，而不是二杜社。現更正。
斜陽開始透入窗簾, 大家收拾狼藉杯盤, 紙章筆墨, 隨落日歸去.
On the 23 September, we held
our calligraphy meeting in Coopers Plains Library. We arrived an hour earlier
to celebrate the Moon Festival with lots of good food.
Besides enjoying the dishes
contributed by our members, we broke the ice by playing Names Bingo. Then we
mix-and-match the calligraphers with the periods they belonged to and their
famous scripts. It’s a good chance to know more about calligraphers and their
works.
Then Freida and Nathan
shared their experience of choosing the right script for individuals.
As the sun went down, we
separated with a fruitful heart.
